Online Celsius to Fahrenheit Converter

Celsius

Celsius is a unit of temperature, also called as centigrade. The celsius scale based on 0° for the freezing point of water and 100° for the boiling point of water. The celsius scale is also known as the Centigrade scale because of the 100 degree interval between the defined points. The degree celsius is denoted by the symbol °C.

Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit is the unit of temperature denoted by the symbol (°F). On the fahrenheit scale, the freezing point of water is 32°F and the boiling point is 212°F at standard atmospheric pressure. Therefore the difference between the boiling and freezing points of water in fahrenheit scale is 180 degrees. The normal body temperature is considered to be 98.6°F.

How to convert the temperature celsius to Fahrenheit

Zero degree celsius is equal to 32 degree fahrenheit.
0 °C = 32 °F
The temperature in degree fahrenheit(°F) is obtained by adding 32 to the nine fifth of the temperature in degree celsius(°C).
°F = (°C * 9/5) + 32

Example 1:

Convert 15 °C to Fahrenheit
°F = (15 * 9/5) + 32
Therefore, 15 °C = 59 °F

Example 2:

Convert 50 °C to Fahrenheit
°F = (50 * 9/5) + 32
Therefore, 50 °C = 122 °F
